If you just need a visual confirmation: The machine is logging these informations and you can check the history if you hit the "tx/rx info" button on the fax screen (it's maybe called different but it should be located in the top/right area of the screen).
There is no "tx/rx info" on the fax screen
Wen we go to JOB LIST then history there is some info but no details of the number called.
It looks like a QUICK OPERATION key for reports. What is a QUICK OPERATION key
There will be a bit switch setting you can change that will make the machine spit out a transmission report after every fax has been sent or failed to sent.
You can also get it to print out a report of the last 20 or 30 faxes and their status. Instructions for changing the bit switch settings is in the fax option service manual.
It's 106 miles to Chicago. We've got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark and we're wearing sunglasses.
when a user at the console goes to JOB LISST then JOB HISTORY, is there a way to make that useful, by showing if it was a copy or fax, and telling the fax number and if it went through?
we do not want to print a confirmation for every fax

The user can use one of the quick operation keys at the bottom of the fax screen when they wanted to see that information.
These keys can be programed with various functions - the default is TX status.
They could also program the key to print a journal which can show the info.
