Need to replace complete development unit. I tried opening one of those Dev units once to remove lumps and fix white lines. Broke all the clips trying to get it open because they are not designed to be serviceable. No part number for seperate developer that I know of, I suspect MPC2800 developer may work but won't be spending my boss's money on that experiment

Replacing the developer in these is nearly an exercise in futility. I have managed to get all the old developer out of a C6003 unit, and filled it with 350g of c3300 dev with no initial image problems. The problem is, the spill plate and augers get caked with stuff over a period of time, and these chunks fall off and get stuck at the doctor blade causing white lines, which is why I changed it to begin with. The only way to make this work, in my opinion, is to completely disassemble the entire dev unit to it's component pieces and scrape all the caked residue off the internal components. You may not even be able to get it all out, which means failure can happen immediately after you just spent hours to remedy the situation. This new dev unit design sucks.

i have them apart and just need to be gentle as tabs break easily..
I have vacuumed them out after dumping developer mix and try to clean any buildup inside.
It depends on how long it ran with clumps and such...

Replace the whole unit. Done and done. I don't mess with disassembly as it is a total crap shoot whether it works or not. I have noticed they seem to last longer than they used to, at first we were replacing lots of them..
