You can reset a lot of counters on Ricoh machines, but you can not reset the total copy counter. Why does the customer want to reset the counter?

As I have told you that you that we have been supplying the printer on rental basis. Some of our customer asked to have the zero counter just for using the machine no matter of old one.

Order a new NVram for your machines, thats the only way possible.

Messing with the NVRAM is not a good idea, as it stores all of your settings, and constantly moving the data to a card or manually inputting it can cause some major issues, especially with static, corrupted info, etc.

I can totally understand why you want to do it, but you're seriously asking for major issues by constantly messing with the software guts of the printers.

What about printing out the meters upon delivery, then each customer signs it, you make a copy of it, and then both parties acknowledge the meters, both b&w and color? I'm sure you're doing something like this anyway, but the customers are renting the equipment, and they know that rental equipment is not new; that's why it's a rental.

Schooltech is absolutely right. You can install new NVRAM following the procedure to the letter and still end up turning a working machine into a turd. I would certainly try to work my way around the customers wish on this particular point.
