    AF1515 Scan-to-email

Has anyone had success setting up scan-to-email on an AF1515 with the Gmail SMTP server?

Ironically, I have been working on this very problem for several days. I Had a similar machine working in my shop (1015) and decided to bring a 1515MF home to use. I couldn't for the life of me get it to scan to email. Scanrouter was fine. It was only after a BUNCH of searches that I found out that it would not work with SSL, and I saw a post about using Gmail, but after going through all of those settings, I realized that it uses SSL as well. The solution that worked for me was to create a new email account using my office settings that apparently doesn't use SSL ( I intend on looking at that later today), and turning authentication "off" I read that you can also use the smtp settings from your ISP, but I didn't try that.

    Hope this helps??
