mpc3002 only black copy and print allowed

When they do a color print (which is prohibited) it won't print (and that is correct) but the user won't get any message; like "prohibited" or something like that...
Is there a way to activate a message?
    Thank you for your answer.

I'm not aware of a setting to display a message on the screen. It lists it in the print error log though. I show the users where to check the log when their prints don't print out. Last option is to delete the driver and either install the universal driver and manually select a mono model on the list or install a mono model driver. Not ideal but at least it removes the possibility of accidentally trying to print colour.

You could use the print driver editor and edit the print driver to disable/lock color. That way they can't even select it.

Met Printer Driver Packager NX waarborgt u een snelle en gemakkelijke configuratie van Ricoh-printerdrivers en implementeert u ze voor eindgebruikers binnen uw organisatie.

"printer driver package" is what you mean, i guess.
        Do you use this app?
        Is it useful?

No he meant the Printer Driver Editor. Ricoh no longer makes it available but you can get it from Softpedia. I have ran file comparison utility on it and it is the same download file that Ricoh used to make available. It is much smaller than Printer Driver Packager NX so it downloads faster and extracts faster. It is easier to use. Packager is intended for use by company IT departments to create and distribute through Microsoft Active Directory driver packages to users based on the specific needs of the department the user is in.

PDE only works with PCL6 and PostScript drivers.

Download Ricoh Printer Driver Editor 1.0.1.2 for Windows XP, Windows 2003, Windows Vista, Windows 2008, Windows 7

I use both as the PDE no longer works with the newer machines. The PDP NX takes a little while to get used to but there are a few guides on here that explain it pretty clearly. If you just need a print driver customized I much prefer the PDE but as for deployment, the PDP NX is much nicer. You can set the IP of the device in it and create packages. I usually set these up ahead of time when doing an install that way once I get on site all I have to do is either a) run the .msi file on each PC or b) give the .msi package to the IT person and they can deploy it to all the PCs as they see fit. Really cuts down on install time I find.

I also find the PDE can be finicky if you already have the same driver installed and Windows keeps thinking you want to use the driver that is already installed as it has the same name. The packager seems to fix that by doing everything automatically with no interruptions or changes from Windows.

But if someone asks me to make a pop up driver or customized driver for an older machine I'll always use the PDE, its just much quicker than the Packager NX.
