Ricoh MP C3002 Cyan Toner not Loading

    Ricoh MP C3002 Cyan Toner not Loading

    Replaced Toner Pump, light went off after about 20 seconds of loading toner. Left, next day light came back on! Thought maybe the pump was defective so i took 1 out of a working machine. Still nothing. No sign of toner getting in hopper. But the Toner bottle is spinning. Im about ready to replace the mechanism the toner bottle makes contact with in the back frame of the machine. Anyone ever have this issue with this machine. 1st one ive seen on this model even thou its a older machine.

      Did you change the hose too? I've seen a clogged hose cause that issue. I've seen my share of bad pumps though for sure

          Hi good day

          Did you change the hose too?

          Sometimes the hose gets clogged.

          Also, toner sometimes when stored upright will cake, creating rocks of toner and will not be able to pass to the pump.

          Check hose, blow, clean or replace.

          In the toner, open the nozzle and turn it by hand so that the cake comes out.

          Reassemble and test each component on 5804 ... pump, toner etc.

              Clogged hose/tube is the reason Ricoh went to only selling new pumps with the hose already attached. Often if the hose has clogged, the toner nozzle will also be clogged. When you disconnect the hose from the nozzle a small amount of toner should drop out.

                      If you are just taking a hose off another machine you are asking for trouble. Order a new Cyan pump assembly from Ricoh. It will come with the hose already attached. The hoses attached to new pumps have a Teflon coating on the inside to prevent clogging. When you pull a hose off of a pump, that coating can be damaged.

                          Generic pumps come without the hose. There are also technicians who only install the pump because of the laziness of having to disassemble from behind.

                              Only fit new oem pump and hose if it hasn't come with a hose it's a used one

                                  Went back with the hose and replaced it. So far working great!! I didnt replace hose orig Not that bad to do. Took about 20-25 Min.
