Hi all, inexperienced noob here who knows nothing about Ricoh machines. We recently received an old Aficio MPW 2401 wide format machine which was meant to be working, however after the transport company reassembled it, it won't go past the "cover is open" screen for the larger of the top parts that opens (the one with the gas struts). At first I figured it was a simple switch alignment problem as I had a similar issue on a Konica Minolta copier which just needed a bit of adjustment, however as best I can tell everything is adjusted correctly.
I have tested the pair of microswitches on the right hand side of the machine with a multimeter, both are working fine (though only one gets pressed by the top cover - the other doesn't seem to have any way of being pressed as it's under a metal bracket, pressing this switch by hand makes no difference though). On the other side is an optical switch, I have tried a few different spare switches (albeit from some old xerox machine) but none of them have made any difference. I have also checked the fuses and they are all good, and voltage is going through all 3 of the switches. Have i missed a switch that might be causing the problem? I don't see any more in the service manual
Any help is appreciated - is there a way to get to a switch test mode in the service menu? I'm only familiar with the Konica service menus and don't want to brick anything by messing around.
