Trying to get scan-to-email working on a Ricoh MP C4503, using Office365 with Multi-Factor Authentication enabled.
Following guidance in "Option 2" of Microsoft documentation "How to set up a multifunction device or application to send email using Microsoft 365 or Office 365" at:
How to set up a multifunction device or application to send email using Microsoft 365 or Office 365 | Microsoft Docs
Have verified all network settings are correct, and that the customer's email address and password are valid. Verified customer's MX endpoint, Port 25, SSL and Authentication enabled. Connection test to SMTP server via copier control panel is successful.
Test scan fails with the following errors in the System Log:
#[dcs_nas(120)]20/12/16 11:50:49 SMTPC: received error code. [550] (8000) ERR:
#[dcs_nas(120)]20/12/16 11:50:49 SMTPC: connection closed. (801) ERR:
SMTP Err 550 "typically" means an invalid email address. As stated above I have verified the email address (using same address for sending and receiving test scan for now) and password are valid - did that by logging into the account.
Any ideas? Have any of you had any success with this?
