    [Error Code] MP 2555 - SC101-02

    Hi everyone,

    I have an MP 2555 with an SC101-02 error. The white reference under the platen glass is in place and clean. The scanner carridge ass'y has been replaced but gave the same error code, A scanner from another device was put into the original device to sanity check whether a faulty part was sent out and this now has SC101-02 (even when it's placed back into it's original device). The IPU (as this controls the scanner) has been swapped from another device, and (as I was clutching at straws) the PSU has been swapped with another device and another scanner ass'y was fitted at the same time but again, still have an sc101-02. Any ideas or advise would be appreciated.

      Have you tried the lamp regulator?

          So now you have 2 scanner units throwing out this error? Perhaps it's just a little cause like a misaligned mirror within the carriage assy. I think the lamp is LED based - does it lighten up? Does the scanner move correctly below the white balance referance plate position?

          You can also check the scanner-related SP values and compare them with the birth certificate, perhaps something is off the charts at this end.

              You have not assembled the nscaner unit corectly, try again.

                  Could be the white plate on the under side of the document feeder unit also make sure the feeder is square on machine
