MPC 5000 SC866 nomore running Scanner Function

Hi everyone
Have somenone an idea or know why after upgrade firmwares of a Ricoh
MPC 5000, scanner fuction disepeard, malfunction with SD authentification (SC 866) and no scanner firmware on the diagnosis report?...

What firmware did you upgrade? Just the scanner?

should of updated copy system and engine at the same time: you must then update all the rest.

all these firmwares were made at the same time without fax option, and just after this malfunction appeard

It is feasible one of the firmware updates had an error in it or you might have a faulty SD card.

Try rolling back the firmware to the previous version and see if that gets the scanner back. If it does, update the firmware files one by one and test the scanner after each install to see which firmware update makes the scanner disappear (if it does it again).

Take a backup of the NVram data and print SP mode non default values before you do this. An engine all clear may be necessary.

that was i was thinking to get back, but the original engine firmware is not available to download....and i hink it could be the key of the pb

Doesn't have to be the original one, just one level below the firmware you've just installed.

I have exactly the same problem only in my case the problem happens at installation not due to an upgrade.

The machine is a 5000 CSP so no SD card.Printer scanner modules are embedded.

According to the related rtb by upgrating the system firmware this problem is solved.

I upgrade the firmware but problem was not solved.Iwill upgrade all firmwares to check.
Any news for the above problem?
