    Ricoh A 2027 freezes

    Hi,

I have problems with this machine. I was at customer today to see what's wrong and all i could do is a single copy and then the machine freezed. Then i turned off the machine and it didn't booted (PLEASE WAIT on screen). I tried to turn on the machine with open doors but with no luck, i checked harness and evrything looked ok.

Any ideas? Would firmware upgrade solved the problem ?

I'd put my money on the HDD if it's fitted with one.
It's 106 miles to Chicago. We've got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark and we're wearing sunglasses.

    Hit it.

You need to go with an 80gb, I've still encountered problems when installing a 40. Purchase one at your local computer store, don't buy an OEM it will cost you out the wazoo.

          reply to 2027 'please wait'.

          Hi mate

i've had this problem quite a few times with this type of machine and every time i have had to replace the hard disk drive. If you look on the Misco website you will find them much cheaper than Ricoh/NRG prices. If you need anymore info let me know.

          Cheers and hope this helps!
