    ricoh scan to searchable pdf

    Hi can a ricoh copier like 5002 or 5054 scan to pdf searchable?
    does it need a sd card or add on unit?

      MP 5054 gas an option for OCR scanning that can be added for a price.

      MP 5002 cab scan to OCR using TWAIN or WIA scanning and appropriate software.

          It's been mentioned here on CTN many times before, but I will do it again.

          While OCR is optionally available for some models, (as Slim and Terramobil mentioned), it is PAINFULLY S-L-O-W compared to any quality OCR software.

          That may be improving on the newer machines (due to better and faster processors), but I have serious doubts about that being the case.
