    [Jamming] 8002/6502 clear unit

Today my MPC8002 show need to change BK clear unit.
When this message showed out I will change it's wax bar but this time it still show the message.

I try the way to fix it but didn't work:
    1.change wax bar
    2.Exchange BK and C's PCU
    3.Change a new clear unit

    I meet another problem: SP3040 can't run

    P.S. PM counter is 0

SP 3040 will not rum if then most likely lubricant end detection flag is not 0. Check SP 3810-021 for K. If it is 2 for Near End or 3 for End the PM counter has not been properly cleared. Follow 3.4 PM PARTS SETTINGS in the service manual exactly.

3701-xx for the item being replaced is the quickest way.
It's 106 miles to Chicago. We've got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark and we're wearing sunglasses.

        Hit it.

Section 3.4 of the service manual gives the step by step procedures for resetting the PM counters. It is different from previous models. If not done properly the detection flags will not be cleared. If the detection flags are not all at 0, DEMS execute, SP 3040-xx, will fail.

If your service manual is too old it may not include the following Important message:
If the counter for the Lubricant Bar is reset in SP 7622-XX, make sure to set the
flag in SP3701-XXX. Otherwise, the lubricant end detection (SP3810-XXX) will
not be reset and the banner message indicating near-end will remain on the
          operation panel.
This was added in February 2014, 5 months after the initial printing.

The most convoluted replacement method Ricoh has ever come up with. This has tripped up so many techs, it's just ridiculous they couldn't fix this through a firmware update.
