    Ricoh MP4000B scanner

Just installed RICOH MP4000B with full accessories with scanner/printer kit , ARDF and without fax card.
Customer wants the scanner without having PC server and he wants the machine should as scanner delivery server.
Otherwise machine is working good and using as printer and scanner but through PC server.
Is it possible to use scanner as a delivery scanner

Doesn't the customer want scan-to-email or scan-to-folder? That's more easy to configure than ScanRouter.

scanner cant be used as a delivery server, a PC has to be running ScanRouter for that.
As was suggested, set up scan to folder and it can deliver scans to PCs.

        RICOH MP4000B

Customer wants the scanner use directly by the client and who scans and scanned directly goes to required destination with notification on display of the client without any PC server

Yes, scan to folder is what you need to set up for them. As for notification... your on your own their. Without something like Ecopy Desktop, I don't know of a way to make Windows notify that a scan as arrived on a system.

I haven't used it in a while but doesn't DeskTop Binder have a feature to notify the user when scans arrive in a folder it monitors? If I remember correctly it does.

            Might be worth checking into.

Relax! This firmware injection won't hurt...but it will take 45 minutes.

Don't have any of these (I know they are newer). But does this model even support scanrouter (delivery) or twain?

I know Ricoh doesn't support scanrouter lite anymore. They even took it off their site.

              Regards

You are correct about SR Lite, Star. But Twain is still supported.
I don't even mess with SR Lite unless its an existing install on an older product. SMB scanning to folder is the best option IMO.

You can still download SR Lite if you go through the Savin Web Site. If anyone needs it for the older products you should download it before Savin takes it down too.

The Pro or Enterprise version would be required according to the Ricoh Knowledge Base:
"Scan Router Lite will no longer be supported on products produced after Autumn 2006. These products include but are not limited to the B284/B288/B276/B277/D009/D010/D011/D012/D013/D014/D015/D017/D018/D019/D020 models. We will provide the hot fix for some Scan Router products as follows and you will need to apply necessary action for your customer on the websites for the brand names. Applicable Software Scan Router V2 Professional (Ver.2.x.x.x) Scan Router Enterprise (Ver.1.x.x.x) Hot Fix Release Date April 01, 2007 for English version. These softwares will support the SSL communication at the device registration."
