    MP 3054 support for PaperCut

    Hi,

    qustiion;
    We're using "PaperCut" software to read the counters on our Ricoh's in the field.
    it is working ok for the MPC and IMC models,

    however the MP series keeps given an 100% toner . .
    The question from the fa "PaperCut" is what protocol this machine uses?

    They asked if the MP3054 is working with SNMP V1 or V2. (?)
    No idea . . .

    someone?
    Thanks in advance

    George

    Re: MP 3054 support for PaperCut

    The 54 series and 55 series just recently had a firmware upgrade to them to more accurately read toner levels on them on third party programs. Before it was either Full, Low or Empty (which is why its showing as 100% on Papercut). If you do a firmware and check off some SP modes (check tech bulletin for SP mode) that should then let it report to third party programs in increments of 1% instead of just the 3 levels.

    TSRC bulletin is the newest on the 3054, number 29.

    I'm guessing this is your issue but then again Papercut will also need to know to check for the new method or else it will still show Full, Low or Empty.
    We use Print Audit for device management and they still haven't implemented it to my knowledge so Papercut may be in the same boat.

    EDIT: Damn that picture came out small. It just shows the behavior of the toner levels with and without the firmware upgrade. I just snapped it from the bulletin so if you find the bulletin you'll see it a bit better.
