    Are the cleaning webs interchangable?

I stock what appears to be the same fuser cleaning web for 2 different machines. The Ricoh 1075 (B065) and the Ricoh 2051 (B140) still have different part numbers, but they will fit in either machine. Has anybody been interchanging them between the 2 models? If so, how has it been working out?

    Web

Have used 1075 in a 2051, it's cheaper, seemed to work OK. 2051 one is longer, look at them side by side, 2051 has greater diameter, so 1075 one will run out sooner.

I have been using the 1075 web ( AE04-5046 ) in both machines with no problems for over a year. The only difference I have found is that the cut-out in the web shaft is slightly smaller than the 2051 web. I just give it a couple of passes with a file and it's good to go.

I agree with rictech, & totoro on the diameters and slots. But don't try to swap web cleaning frames (the metal and plastic). They don't interchange (actually if I recall, they swap one way but not the other).

Best just to swap the web itself. Don't mess around with the rest of the web unit.

        Regards
