    FAX1140L / F110 "Waiting File"

    This has been kicking my arse for a few weeks now.

    Machine just sits there saying "waiting file". Won't let me into tech mode, fuser doesn't warm up. Nothing mentioned in the service or operations manual, can't find anything on Google. Fixed machine by replacing mainboard.

    Anyone seen one of these things do this?
    It's 106 miles to Chicago. We've got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark and we're wearing sunglasses.

      Nope, If it was on a fax in my area I would expect it was caused by a lightening strike close by. Time to start swapping boards.
      At least 50% of IT is a solution looking for a problem.

          replace the main board that will fix the problem

              I think the main board is more expensive than the machine. We swap these machines when they're having this kind of problems.
