Hi Techs,
I have a Ricoh Alficio SP C830dn thats been converted to print digital ceramic decals that can be fired into a kiln. See the attached image. There are lines running down one side of the image that are faded. I was having issues with streaking where about one third of the picture was faded so I followed the manufacturers suggestion - the business that built this for my purposes not Ricoh - and pulled the imaging units out to vacuum out any loose toner particles and the imaging unit itself. I was told to not scratch the blue roller on top of the imaging unit so I was super careful when removing and replacing the 4 units. This resolved the original streaking problem but created these fading lines problem afterwards. So Im not sure if maybe I accidentally scratched the blue roller in top of the imaging unit.
What do the experts think? If its a scratched imaging unit what does that cost to fix? If not what do you think it might be and the estimated cost to fix it?
Thanks!
