    Gestetner 3502 Doc Server

I have the Gestetner 3502 Copier with Document Server feature. I would like to transfer the scanned files to a PC. I need to add a 10/100baseT connection from the motherboard, but can't find anything on what precisely I need (the slots on the motherboard are unfamiliar to me).
I've tried to just run the hard drive as a secondary drive on an alternate PC, but can't get it to show up.
    Any suggestions???
Right now, I can't even find the OEM card recommended.

You will need a print/scan option to get the machine connected to the network. I don't think the chances are very good at getting a new P/S kit but you might find one on a used machine or one a dealer has in stock. Good luck.

You would also need a File Format Converter as the files are stored in a proprietary format.
Your best bet is to look into upgrading to a newer model, as even the scanning function on this machine was pretty bare bones as opposed to what's available now. Then you'd just have to print the old files out and re-scan into the new machine.

I thought you could view the contents of the Doc Server through the WIM? Then view them as pdf docs? Did I imagine that?

You can on newer models, but not the 3502. The LD135 (AF2035e) was the first of this series to allow you to do that. The 3502 has the old interface where you can only look at printer functionality.
