Frozen Touch screen on AF3045, AF3030

I had tried to replace Touch screen, but it still not fix, may be my new touch screen defected. Did I miss anything else ? I went tru touch screen calibrations, but I will go frozen after about 10 minutes later .

Hey, I know that the Ricoh's are prone to this and if I remember correctly you have an NVRAM/HDD problem. I would disconnect the HDD and then turn the machine on with the HDD disconnected to see if that clears it up. If it still freezes with the HDD disconnected then you propaply have an NVRAM problem.

You will have limited functionality with the HDD disconnected, but you will at least have a working machine until you get another one. Let us know....

I believed I put new one as same way as old one. Is the touch screen is the first part you considered to replace first ?

You said that you replaced the op panel assembly with a repaired unit. Maybe that one was initially flaky and no one caught it or just went bad as well.

Do you have a new one to replace it with?

I just suggested the touch screen calibration after the replacement part was installed because it's not a feature that's done often or sometimes even known about. It's nowhere to be found within the normal or special SP modes.

With the newly repaired Op panel, I had no more problem with touch screen, but my wondering is : what part cause the probem in my old Op panel ?
