We are not a Ricoh shop so I hope this is simple.
Ricoh 2022 Aficio . The customer had a jam and cleared it, but now the copier is inop. Screen justs say (please wait) never comes to ready.
We are Kyocera/copystar so we are completely lost on this one.
    Any help appreciated

Thanks for the reply. My tech has removed the hard drive so they are semi operable now. We will refer them to a Ricoh dealer to replace it.

Either that or just get a 40-gig 2.5" HDD to put into it, any brand will be fine.
It's 106 miles to Chicago. We've got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark and we're wearing sunglasses.

        Hit it.

I would except I don't have the info for formatting, or for setting up the scan settings, etc. Not being familiar with Ricoh, I am afraid to open that can of worms. LOL

You dont need to format the HDD, it does it itself. All scan settings should be held on the NVRAM so they shouldn't be lost.
If you really want to buy a HDD from Ricoh be prepaired to sell a kidney!

Buy a small notebook HDD and bill'em
DON'T go to Ricoh for a HDD.. Go to Best Buy and pick one up.. the machine will handle the rest...
BTW.. typical Ricoh though.. clear a jam and can't use it anymore

                Ain't that the truth... hehe

Just like servicing an Adonis or a NAD, put it back together and then start getting laser SC codes. This is without touching the laser unit IN ANY WAY!!!

                I love the Adonis.
