C901s - SC398-01 code and dogear corners on 79 gsm carbonless

Need help to figure out the cause of the corners of 79 gsm carbonless paper 11x17 dogearing on the corner before the image transfer to the paper. Changed to a new ream of 2 part carbonless yesterday when it happened and problem went away, rest of job ran fine. Today called back for same issue on 3 part. Paper is new ream just opened today, no visible issues with the paper, no curl, flat as can be, humidity level normal. LCIT fan set at 70%. No obstructions found in paper path.

While checking paper path got a SC398-01 that I can't find reference to in SP or in the service manual.
    Thanks,

SC 398-001 is a drum stop error on the magenta drum.

As for the dogeared corners, it is probably time to do some parts replacements. Check all Mylar and ribbed plastic guides for excessive wear, especially where the edges of the paper run. I have seen high usage machine where the paper has worn hole in Mylar guides and burrs on ribs that can catch the corners of the paper. Primarily in the registration section and the duplex unit. If you do a large quaantity of carbonless, check all transport rollers for signs of bulging at the ends. Usage of carbonless copy papers (NCR paper) may result in skews, jams and/or premature failure of internal components. ncr.pdf
