IM C4500 powers off on it's own

    Howdy folks,

Customers power went out then back on. Copier won't boot up now. It gets to the circle showing starting up then a screen with the red bar saying shutting down happens and it just shuts down. Had customer unplug machine and hit power switch 3 times. No dice.

Anybody else seen this? We are thinking HDD or smart op firmware.

    Thanks

Just checked those TSB, Affected machines are 2020 of June and older. Mine is made Feb 2021. With the power event it does sound like that fuse could of died however. We are going out tomorrow morning to see.

        Thanks

            Just a follow up:
Even with the upgraded board in the machine, controller still resolved the issue.

Insurance matter. We call such machines 'totally unreliable' after a power breakdown.

Re: IM C4500 powers off on it's own

Got this problem today on a IM C6000

After swapping the smart op with no result and was about to order a new controller board
We found out it was only a bad ram stick.

(I kept the 2gb rams from machine that need the upgrade to work with a fiery.)

Hope this can help anyone !
