RICOH IM 6000 Family Tandem tray SC 503-31 and -32 Error codes

Has anyone seen the above error messages (Tandem lift/lower errors)? If you have, what did you do to resolve it?

If nothing is noticeably broken, remove the tandem tray and see if there is not paper behind the tray.

The following is from the service manual for the IM C6000: In the case of the tandem tray, the thin aluminum side plates introduced with the MP C6502/C8002 to satisfy ROHS requirements and reduce shipping weight can warp increasing drag when lifting or lowering.

IM C6000 is different. No aluminum guides, etc.

Symptom happens regardless of paper being in the tray. I swapped the right tandem tray with another machine and no problem in the 2nd machine. I've ordered the pcb and motor. While observing raising/lowering, its CONSIDERABLY slow. Thank you for your reply.
