    Ricoh mpc2800 pcu black D0292256

    Hoi,
    Perhaps a stupid question...
I have made a mistake by filing down the connector to put it in as a color pcu.
But that was not necessary at all (used the c2500 pcu for color).
But now the small metal pin has been removed from that c2800 connector.
Will this provoke any trouble if I use this pcu for black in a mpc2800?
If yes, can i use it as color?
    Thanks for your answer!
    Greetings,
    Mark

No. The metal pin was (in my opinion) Ricoh's way of making it harder to file it down. It has no electrical connection anywhere.

Yeah no prob and some exercising is always healthy lol

I find it easier to cut it out with a very sharp carpet-knife but probably got out of practice since this MFP generation is almost non existent in our field anymore.

if needed that connector can be pried off from a bad drum unit ans swapped if needed.
I did not see the pin as any use but like slim said another rico suave $$$$ block...

That steel pin is exactly where you need to cut the plastic back to. I used to use a hobby knife to cut back ti the top of the pin and after removing the pin trim a little more off. The attached might help.
