How to enable rotating collate by user for the Ricoh MP C3400?

    Hi,
A couple months back I asked about enabling rotating collate for multiple copies of documents, which turned out to be really simple thanks to your guys' help. However, apparently my boss and I had a miscommunication. What he wants is more complicated, but I'm pretty sure it can be done based on a 6 year old picture of a Ricoh showing the exact feature I'm asking for - https://www.reddit.com/r/mildlyinter...rate_document/

I want to know how I can enable rotating collate for separate print jobs from separate users on the MP C3400. If it's easier, I would settle for just rotating every single print job without taking the user into account. I'm in the Ricoh admin panel and just completely lost on how to do this, but I'm fairly confident it can be done. Any help would be appreciated.

I tried to see if rotating collate did this by default by printing 1 copy of a document in word, and then printing another copy, but they both printed in the same orientation. What I want is for each separate job to rotate.

I don't know if Job Separation is available without an external finisher.

Really? Wow, that's a bummer. I was almost positive that something could be done programmatically by hooking into the print job list and rotating each job that way. But I could be wrong. It sounds like it would be a very large time investment just to rotate a piece of paper 90 degrees. Not much of a reward haha.

Job Separation for 1 copy print jobs is only possible with a finisher as Slim says or with the Windows Separator Page.

First, you need to load one tray with LTR landscape paper and one tray with LTR portrait paper.
Set the landscape tray as the default tray for printing at the machine.
Go to /Advanced/Separaor Page/Browse in the printer driver and select the pcl.sep file in Windows/System32 at the bottom of the list.
Now you only have to select the LTR portrait tray when printing and a sheet of landscape paper will be insert between each job.

I don't care about who your father is, as long as I'm fishing here, you won't walk on water.
