    Plockmatic Parts that are discontinued

My customer has a Ricoh C5100s with BK5010e plockmatic.

The Stapler part has been discontinued by the manufacturer. I am sending to HYTEC for repair but I really don't know if its going to be repairable so I a am just planning.

Any advice where to buy parts, Google was useless. VRC61105 is the stapler part number.

Also as a back up plan can the newer plockmatic 500e or 350e work with a Ricoh C5100s? Customer bought the machine used from me almost 5 years ago.

Might be a good pitch just to replace I suppose.

    Any advice is appreciated.

First are you positive that it is the staple head that is the problem and not the crimp bar? The grease used on the crimp bar can gel and become almost like glue preventing the crimp arms from moving properly. After a crimp they will stay in the crimp position instead of swinging back to the ready position. This will cause staple jamming and can ultimately lead to damage to the staple heads.

Well HYTEC says the stapler units are non repairable so now I am in trouble. I made another post but could I get a newer plockmatic to put on the C5100s?

Actually they are repairable depending on what is wrong with them. It is merely a mechanical device, Hytec does electronic repairs. There are only a couple of parts that can get damaged and more often than not it is a matter of something gotten bent or deformed to where it doesn't function. Due to the cost of new heads, I frequently had to make old ones functional again. Some times having to use parts from 2 or 3 to create one working one.
