I want to install Papercut Hive on Ricoh c4503 & c3003 series. Is 3 series compatible with the PaperCut Hive?

If anyone knows please share your knowledge

You are looking at the wrong portion of kevslane's answer. What type of operation panel does the C4503 have?

1. The normal operation panel, i.e. ten key number plus a bunch of other buttons
2. First generation SOP, Smart Operation Panel, Java is only supported on the main frame and not the Android panel
3. Second or later SOP
   1. G2 devices that have preinstalled Java, need to have it turned on during the installation.
   2. G2.5 Configuration is done automatically apart from the manual steps that may need to be done
   3. G3 .
   • build 79 and higher
   • Provide a trusted security certificate is mandatory
   • Configuration is done automatically apart from the manual steps that may need to be done

As for the term "embedded" it just means that Java is factory installed and therefore does not require a separate SD card option be purchased. It can be embedded on the SOP, G2 or later, or on the chip set of the controller or in the case of the 03s, both,

I want to make sure that 4 series have the smart SDK install or not. When I checked extended features of c4504 there was nothing by the name of Smart SDK only the Java and the embedded app architecture.

If the smart SDK is not installed then how can we install it? Any tool is required with the SDk file ?

That is because the Java on the C4504 is embedded in the SOP and not the main frame. When you have a model with an SOP you actually have 2 seperae systems that talk to each other. The main frame that is a modified Lynex based OS and the control panel that is a modified Android OS. Java can run on either one.

Thankful I found this thread, I have a client wanting to use the Papercut software on a C3003. Currently it has a standard panel...Can I switch panels to a SOP panel and add a VM card to make it compatible ? And how is the functionality of the 03 series with papercut ? Or is this an upgrade situation, their C3003 is working perfectly now.
**I have not installed or configured Papercut, so I am a novice here on this subject

Smart Operation Panel Type M3 EDP Code 416910 most likely is no longer available from Ricoh. You might be able to find one on eBay. Do not try to install it without the proper manuals as there is a specific procedure that must be followed exactly. You will also need the latest firmware modules on ab SD card.

Never used Papercut so I can't advise you there.

Papercut Runs on an 03 no matter the panel. If you have a standard panel or first gen SOP then you need papercut to push the legacy app (Java based SDKJ Embedded) onto the 03. It is a lot clunkier than with the android app and less features supported but can be done. I have multiple lawyer's offices that use papercut and have 03s with standard panels.
