    MPC3004 mac driver

    Hi,

Mc's can print standard on this device with Adobe PDf emulation, no PS3
Got some problems with printing to the MPC with Mc, for example , installed the right driver (Catalina), when sending a job, the printer makes noise, as if it receives data but no prints coming out.
Is a PS3 option needed for an MPC3004 printing from different versions?

    thanks in advance

    Hello

Try the "hp jetdirect" printer, it should work

if they are using user codes to track copy and prints will also cause this . you need to enable that under job log and enable user code and enter a code that has been setup for that person.

And I believe that in order to enter user codes in the driver will require the proper Ricoh PPD installer being ran to install an actual Ricoh driver.

All Apple devices use CUPS as their print engine, which uses PostScript as its native interpreter. For the best possible support you will need the option, otherwise you're just trying to bandage the system which makes the customer unhappy and your life that much more difficult.

Ricoh's PDF direct operationally is a subset of PS3 and supports most everyday printing needs. However is does not support any of the advanced features used for desktop publishing that are licensed from Adobe. For 100% compatibility the PS3 SD card is needed. What you are paying for on the PS3 is the licensing.
