    2518 Cannot Clear ANY counters

I tried clearing the SC/Jam hist and Plotter Jam Hist on this machine today so I could tell which sensors were indicating jams (as the customer indicated they are happing in different spots) after pressing 1=Yes the machine indicated "ERROR !!!" all covers were closed and no jams were indicated on the op panel. I then tried to (as a test) clear the Original Jams then PM counter and received them same msg for both.

    ANY THOUGHTS or SUGGESTIONS
I could not find any TSBs about this issue and FW is the latest version

Sounds like there is a problem with the memory - have you tried switching it off and on again? (just kidding).

Have you tried formatting the memory, alternativly printing out the SMC Sheets and resetting all counters. Failing that I would print the SMC Logging data and keep them with the machine as a base point.

Hope this is slightly more than no help at all.

You have to set the number to 1 then press and hold the button with the little picture of the man on it before you press #.

The Russian C1 was the same.
It's 106 miles to Chicago. We've got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark and we're wearing sunglasses.

      Hit it.

After entering 1, simultainiously press the original type and the OK key. It should say "action completed"
