Lainer 5622 and ScanRouter V2 Light

I am having scanning issues, all of a sudden my scanning featured ceased to work. We have the copier networked SBS2003 and use Scan Router V2 Lite for a number of years. This week just ceased to transfer the scanned documents to the folder on the server. The scan trays appear on the control panel of copier and scanning goes through ok, and the delivery is ok, but when we access the scan folders on the server the scan document is not there. Tried Tech Support Lanier/Richo they say contact your IT, my IT say not a Server issue contact Copier people I need help, anyone come accross this problem

It has been a while since I installed Scan Router, but as far as I know Scan Router (Admin) should be installed on a PC, not a server.

Assuming you have already cycled power on the 5622 and the scan destinations return to the screen....

The first thing you should do is open SR LiteAdmin Utility and check the scan log and the undelivered data log. This will tell you what is happening to your scans. From what I can tell from your post you are looking at the copier for the status. If the copier does not return an error, the scan left the copier and went 'somewhere out there' on the network.
In the SRLite Admin Utility, manually check the path to your folder(s).

Has there been any changes to the path or name of the folder? Was a virus, firewall or database software recently installed or updated on the Server? SRLite can run on a server but it does not play well with other database softwares, such as SQL, Exchange etc.

Network rule of thumb...if some network application was working and suddenly stops working there is a 90% chance that something on the network has changed.

For troubleshooting purposes, try installing SRLite on a stand alone PC. When you do this remember to open TCP Port 3670 in your firewall.

Another thing I would do is stop the services and restart them. Then if that doesn'twork...remove the IO device and re-add it...let us know what happens.

As an FYI, Ricoh no longer supports the Lite version of this software.

Check and see if they have changed the password for the profile that had Scan Router loaded changed. I had what you described just a few weeks ago. Get on the box with SR loaded on it, log on and open up SR. It should ask you for the new password. I think it might prompt you to restart the machine, but you can cancel the restart and just stop the SR services through Services.
the savin2535 is displaying well bet the hiter lamp is not shining and the lamp had been tested o.k.please kindly help.

Thank you, we did have some updates to our virus software but everything was working fine after updates, this non working happened about a week after updates, what I have noticed is the Suspend/Resume in SR AU does not update even though selected could there be an issue with the software itself
With regards to Error Logs nothing current, for example now I tried to resum services after suspending and it will not???

This leads me to believe that cobiray may be correct in that the password was changed on the server or the user that is logged on is not the one that installed SRLite. Usually you will get a message saying that the logged on user is not the same one that was used to install SRLite for the initial install. This is one reason many techs don't like SRLite on the Server because the IT Staff likes to change the Server password when they get paranoid.

If the services are suspended, you should not be getting the Scan destination button on the device op panel at this point.

You can try backing up your destinations and then go through the setup process and use the repair option. That helped me recently.

The final option is to uninstall and reinstall the program. Special process for the uninstall follow it carefully:

The following removal procedure will delete a certain registry entry and folders created by ScanRouter to allow re-install.
IMPORTANT! Please backup entire Windows registry and proceed with extreme caution.
            1. Suspend ScanRouter services by using one of the following 3 methods:
-Launch ScanRouter V2 Administration Utility, select server, then select suspend services. Close ScanRouter administrator utility.
-Go to start button/programs/startup folder to delete the delivery server shortcut. Once shortcut is deleted, restart PC and move on to step 3.
-Disable all ScanRouter services called DDS Scheduler Daemon, ScanRouterDriverV2, Ridoc Information Service, SOption, and POption. Right click on each service, select properties, then change setting from automatic to disabled.

            2. Delete the RDS folder located under Program Files and RDCAB folder located under the root directory usually c:\rdcab. Caution! Both RDS and RDCAB folders are used by both ScanRouter and DeskTopBinder, so skip this step if DeskTopBinder program and data are still needed.

            3. Launch Windows registry to edit the following key location: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\Curr entVersion\Uninstall\{387D6CC5-6D6C-4BA0-8EAF-955813BFC5D8} Caution! Make sure "DisplayName" value equal to "ScanRouter V2 Lite" before deleting. The ScanRouter V2 Lite installation ID is in red. If you cannot find the installation ID {387D6CC5-6D6C-4BA0-8EAF-955813BFC5D8}, please locate a similar installation ID which must have a "DisplayName" value equal to "ScanRouter V2 Lite". .
Once the "Display Name" is equal to "ScanRouter V2 Lite" delete it.
Notes: This procedure works for software installed as either "Launch at Startup" or "Run in service mode". Users who isntalled ScanRouter as "Launch from Program Folder" can skip step 1. The procedure is the same for all operation systems. If needed, reinstall ScanRouter V2 Lite.

If your can received into your pc, but open up with blank copy, try to reset the NVRAM on scanner section using 5-801-9 memory all clear. After clearing ,enter back the receiving ip address.

                    Retire Old Server

I got two servers running ScanRouter. One has I/O devices for Engineering and the older server has devices for Financial Services (FS) Dept. I want to retire the old server which has the FS shares and is also running the older version of ScanRouter. If I add the FS I/O devices to my Engineering server all the shares FS and Engineering will be listed on the I/O devices panel. Is there a way to separate this so that the devices in FS shows the FS shares only and not Engineering shares. I need this as the devices are physically located in two buildings Engineering and in the FS building.
