[Misc] MP C4503 Scan to email using jpeg as default file type

How are you all?

I have an MP C4503 which I want to send scans as JPEG only. I have set the send file type as Tiff/Jpeg in WIM. But when I scan the scanned documents are Tiff. Sometimes they are Jpeg. Is there a way that I can make the machine to send scans as JPEG only?

Make sure you've set the default for all applications. There are individual defaults for scanner and scanner classic apps and Murphy's law dictates the users are using the other one

Thanks for the response. But this is a MP C4503. It has classic apps only.

I think they scan as TIFF when scanning in black & white, and JPEG when scanning in colour, so default it to colour scanning and that should do the trick

Scan file type is not set in WIM. It is set from the Scan function screen. Press the [Scan Settings] button on the display screen and make the settings you want to use. If you want to make the settings to be the default press the Program key above the 10 key number pad, select "Set as Default' and follow the prompts.
