"call service" in WIM without any further description
Re: "call service" in WIM without any further description
Could be a PM-component that has passed over time, think i've seen it myself on some older machine and then it was the ITB or ITB Cleaning unit that was on 150%.
Re: "call service" in WIM without any further description
There was a finisher installed which we removed together with the bridge unit.
But as far as the manual indicates, there is no need to change a sp mode for (de)install a finisher sr3090 or 790.
Re: "call service" in WIM without any further description
A lot of used machines I pick up show an "RC gate connection error" in the WIM when I connect them to networks, with no other messages.
I run SP5806-209 (Remote Service / Install clear) to clear it.
I think you can also do this in User tools/ system settings/ extended security/ administrator/ extended security/ @ remote service (Set to prohibit)
I can't say for sure, but maybe the newer models don't display the specific message details in the WIM (?), but running the SP and rebooting can't hurt.

Coincidentally, I just licked up and MP C406 that has the same behavior. If you click on "System" it will display the error, which as expected, was an "RC gate error".
I also just realized that I gave the wrong SP (above) to reset it. It should Be SP5816-209

I don't know 'bout ya'll up in The Great White North but here in The Lower Forty-eight, we NEVER recommend licking up any used copiers. You just never know who else might have licked it before you. I guess ya'll just do things differently up there...

How else am I supposed to find the best-tasting machines for resale?

And you obviously lack the intelligence to be able to recognize a typo. It took most of us all of half a second to realize Sandy meant pick.

I appreciate the defense Tim.
I may be wrong, but I didn't take it as an insult. I figured he was just having a little fun with my typo, that's why I played along with it.

Well...I thought it was funny. Finding humour IS a sign of intelligence...but Slob is right, not in MY case.
