    Noise from strippers on mp2000

our experience is that the noise on a mp2000 series from strippers is not much to do on it

just replace them is an awnser

they also have more jams than other machines
we are using the modif from the af180 (springs from strippers)

what's your opinion on these problems

I encounter this problem very often - the strippers become glazed at the point where they contact the hot roller causing them to give off a high pitched noise. If a new set of stripper pawls is not availble I have found that removing the stripper pawls and gently cleaning each pawl at the contact area where the pawl meets the hot roller with a scotch-brite pad is very effective. In most cases you will see a minimal build up of toner on the pawl - once this is cleaned the problem is in most cases taken care of.

I use the stripper pawl springs from the AF2045. Works fine.

Must admit I've never seen this fault. However as Eric said I've not had much success with using the normal Kir finger springs as they tend to pop off. If I see a fuser that has suffered a lot with spring escape I put the Adonis spring on instead with a little nip from my point nosed pliers to keep them held in position. They don't seem to put as much pressure on the hot roller as the 6637 ones do.
It's 106 miles to Chicago. We've got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark and we're wearing sunglasses.

          Hit it.

            hello all.
I've seen this SO many times -- I use aa066637 springs and ae044062 claws. On one particular machine I did have to replace a hot roller when the machine only had 10k on it. Very strange, but throw in strippers and springs once a year or so and it's usually good.
