Does anyone ever adjust Color calibration to suit customer demands?

Just curious if any techs adjust the printer color calibration apart from ACC? For example if you install a brand new Ricoh IM C400 and a picky customer complains that everything prints out too dark. We have discovered that once you make adjustments for the user, they will expect you to come out every time they think something isn't exactly as they think it should be. I always tell the customer that "it is what it is" as the print quality is beautiful when I print my test prints. Does anyone go into printer SP 1104 for example to make changes to suit the customer?

Any tech would be shooting themselves in the foot in trying to accommodate a picky customer in regards to copy quality especially on an office model photocopier. Easiest way to Prove to the customer is to take their file and print it on a different machine of the same model and series and show them that they are identical. If you are talking a production machine with a Fiery controller thats a whole different story.

If any settings would be suggested it would be in regards to printer driver properties and paper quality to improve the quality of the end product. In the driver you can select the DPI you want to print at as well as changing from speed to quality among others. 28lb hammermill is what my print shop uses for most of their books and the quality of the end product compared to 20lb G&T is night and day.
