    OCR Function on Ricoh Devices

Good afternoon, I've noticed that some devices come with an OCR card (Type M2, Type M13, etc., depending on the device). These cards add a native OCR scanning function from the Scanner application.
Using Python, I've created a script that emulates this function on client PCs and runs silently without affecting the computer's optimal performance in any way.
My question is: Is there any way I can add this function natively to multifunction printers, e.g., MP 4002, MP 4054, MP C4503?

Of the three models you named, two of them have the OCRoption available and I think the MP 4002 did as well.. Very few dealers sold it unless it was an absolute bid requirement. Conversion took minutes per page as opposed to pages per minute with freeware OCR software on a PC. Now maybe the IM series models can utilize the android computer of the SOP to speed up the process.
