    Ricoh pro c5110s

    Hi all.
I need help in a pro c5110s machine
When I prints from a Mac on thick paper the prints come out of machine toner not dry and I can web the toner from surface by hand.but if I copy from bypass on thick paper the copies are Okey and all is perfect.
    Another thing.
The machine is so slaw on prints but it's not in copy.
I checked the paper library all is Okey..I looked at the sp factory sheet all is Okey the machine counter is 500 thousands only.

Do you have the proper PPD file installed for the version of Mac OS X you are using. If not you may not have full functionality and as such the paper type and thickness commands might not be spent to the C5110. I am not overly fond of Apple hardware and do not use any OS X computers so I do not know what print options exist but if you have the option to print to the Document Server, try it. From the Doc Server you select the document to print and it takes you to a screen similar to the copy screen where you can make all the paper settings needed.

I'm not a Mac tech too but I will try to download a new driver for the machine..to c if it will fix that issue..I upgraded the firmware..but did not fix any thing.
I say maybe the problem is from the machine itself not from the Mac thing..I mean is there a adjustment for fuser speed and increase heating for thick paper?

From one of my older post :This is after you load the manufacture ppd. You did not state if the unit has a Fiery print controller. There is also more info on CTN on how to properly load the ppd. All print options on a PC are also on a MAC.
Re: Print from Mac on thicker paper setting

At the machine go to "user tools/printer features/system" there is a setting for paper tray media type. Set your bypass and any other trays to "printer command". Show your customer the grams per meter squared number on the ream and advise them to use the that number as a guide for the job they are trying to output. The driver command setting will bypass any paper type mismatch at the machine level. As with the PC pcl driver the MAC ppd will also list under "printer features/paper/paper type" the g/m2 weight of the paper.
