We bought this second hand machine at a cheap price indeed.
    Now i know why...
Im lucky as most of my machines are on a 3 year or 5 year lease then we upgrade, so when I had the spring problem it was at its end of lease so we swapped it out.

I did strip it right down to the spring and made a mental note to deff not to do that at the customers site and hopefully never see that issue again.
Im very carefull when taking out the ITB and start to sweat everytime I feel any resistance! lol

    Be lucky

Good luck and hope its just reshaping the spring as replacing it is a mission!

I'm not shure if you can bent it in to a shape that remains functional - plan B is to replace the contact spring but looking at the parts manual that's probably pretty much effort.
The plan was to practice here on a imc300 which we bought on the internet before going to the customer with a mpc307.
It could be that this spring was already broken before i removed the ITB unit...
Because of the ITB bias rollers facing up i have removed the ITB unit often to solve the upward bias rollers.

Again, this procedure is in the manual.

If you take a look at the transfer belt assy can you see the spot were the spring is suppose to have contact with?
Gift, I'm not 100% sure, but i think it's contact with ground, removal of the residual voltage - current...
But still the bias rollers are facing upwards when placing the ITB unit.

Could it be that the spring pulls the ITB bias rollers downwards?
Or is it just for anti static current removal?
    Thanks in advance.

    I' m going to try
Here's how I do the pics. Take a pic with your phone and email it to yourself. Download the pic to your computer. Edit the pic with your software, I use Photoscape X (free and it works well). Save the pic as a jpg at lower compression to reduce the file size. Upload to CTN. This way you don't have to use an online dropbox.

Yes, something is off on that. Here is what mine looks like. Did you turn the ITB pressure release screw so the flat part is to the right before removing the K PCU? It's in the manual.

OK that spring looks a little bit "bent" compared to my MPC307 (guess IMC300 should look similar):

You might consider and "adjust" it with a needle nose plier. Beside that I find the ITB a bit stubborn to remove/insert and I used a little force than expected^^
On the second image you'll see the gear that does move the CMY engage mechanism - you can turn it by hand to adjust this manually.
