DESITY ADJUSTMENT RICOH MPC 01, 02, 03 and 04 series
Re: DESITY ADJUSTMENT RICOH MPC 01, 02, 03 and 04 series
You could try screwing around with the Developer Gamma settings, but you more likely to make things worse than they current are.
The proper adjustment in is User Tools - Maintenance - Auto Color calibration. You first have to make sure that all the optics and the ID sensor are clean. Do the Copier Function first. This adjusts the output from the scanner so that the scanned image matches the stored image that was printed. Then all of the Printer Function. This adjusts the printer function processor.
Don't be surprised to find that there are no previous settings showing, especially with the 03. There was a company internal letter sent out to all branches and dealers that firmware updates might clear the settings.

There was a TSB for the 2003/2503 series suggesting to run SP 3050 forced toner supply, among other things.
Might be worth a try to see if it is undertoned causing the density problem.
