Lately I've been opting for tweaking the "procon target" to increase toner density when customer complains it's too low - raise by 0.01 or 0.02 and then let it run for a while to see how it goes. I've even had one customer say it was too dense - hence I reduced procon target by -0.02 and she was happy.
