    Ricoh 2238 scanning problems

This customer is trying to scan more than 50 11X17 documents in colour at one time in pdf format to email. Once it reaches 20 or a few more all the images turn into garbled jiberish . any ideas anyone ?

What is the size limit on emails - if you go over a certain size the machine splits the email into several parts to get around the size limitations - I have never seen Outlook Express (or Outlook for that matter) reassemble these multipart messages properly.

Try scanning them to the Document Server (select the Store File option and choose Store Only), then using the web interface, access the scanned files in the Document Server, download and attach to an email that way.

there are also limitations for attachments on the email server, 50 11x17 full color documents could take up 50 Mb assuming that 1 11x17 scanned is 1 Mb in size and there is no limitations from your copier you may get gibberish.
Get your facts first, and then you can distort them as much as you please.
