I have a customer that wants no blank pages to appear to desktop when scanning on everything and set to two sided. The Konica holds this setting but I am having trouble getting the Ricoh to do this and hold the settings.
I have tried all I have found to do here and have the classic scanning mode set to Delete the blank pages scanned and two sided but I can not get it to work.
Does anyone have a simple fix?

AFAIK this removal feature has been introduced with the IMC series - old gen MP/MPC can only detect blank pages and give a warning on the display.

That series requires the OCR option for blank page removal, it won't do it otherwise.

Where do I get this OCR option is it a feature we pay for that ricoh unlocks, or will a firmware update take care of this.

Never had to do this and we do not have the OCR option now.

You need to buy it from Ricoh, it comes on an SD card and needs to be installed then the option for blank page removal becomes available.
