    MP2550B chinesse letters

    hey guys!
    I have strange problem with MP2550B copier. Mashine displayed SC878 at startup. I was replaced controller board and SC code was desapired, but then some other things happend. SP mode have some strange chinesse letters, smc report also, and in copier menu funcion combine two originals in duplex copy is on by default. I tried to change controller board again, but it still there, i tried to change NVRAM, but still same thing. Memory all clear doesn't meke any difference. I tried to make some firmware update, but it recognize only actual version... any idea?

      Is it possible that the controller board is for an MP2550 and not the B version?

          It might be a jumper setting on the new board. Check the jumpers on the old board and compare them to the new one.

                  I had this happen once when I changed the NVRAM on the BCU. I had to go into "factory" service mode to change language and country codes.

                      i would check DIP switches again on BCU board, on controler board are set proportly. I tried to change location from SP mode, and some message was displayed, and after that, that SP was disapired from manu... it doesn't exist in factory mode anymore...
