Ricoh MP C4504ex There is no print app/function. There is no print app on the screen, classic print is not there. In User tools there is no printer heading or functions. Like wise there is no printer heading or functions in the web interface. It even gos so far as when you go in to the IP settings there is no WSD Print to turn off or on. Someone said there is a way in the SP modes to disable the print function but no one to this point knows if thats true or where it is. Any help is appreciated.

Re: No Print App
First does Printer SP option show when you enter SP mode? If not you have a major problem unless it is configured for use with a Fiery controller and the GW print function is turned off. You might need to read the Fiery installation to see what the SP setting is. Otherwise you either have a firmware module missing, totally corrupted or a bad controller or NVram. Try reloading all firmware using the SD Package firmware first followed by all the individual modules. Package should install any missing modules but will not reload corrupted modules that are at the current version. Individual modules can not identify missing modules but will replace corrupted firmware. Plus package may not be up to date on all modules. -
Re: No Print App
Beeing lazy I'd run the latest package as a first attempt and see if thing's changes. There's a chance this is an easy fix.
I'm not shure if a corrupted FW would cause such things, especially the changes inside the WIM. Perhaps the non-availablility of certain stuff was required in the past life of the machine due to special demands and somewhat accomplished via special FW or factory SP setting. Having a loog at the diagnostic report/FW version numbers page could be interesting.
PS: You can also try memory clear / do not run "ALL" but stuff like "Printer" etc... or everything > -004 -> ENDComment

Re: No Print App
If Machine had java card installed previously chances are Printer/Scanner applications were merged on to java card, Now if somehow the Java card gets corrupted the applications are gone.(port 1 is the exact location where Java card should be when it is merged with other applications).
In this case you will need Printer/scanner card to get back the applications.
