    how to install a hdd into the Ricoh 1027?

    1 the hdd must be ide ? is that any volume limited?
    an do anything in the sp mode ? thx!

    Right the HDD is an IDE, but it's a 2.5" Hard Drive (or so I believe) As far as I know there isn't a volume limit but order the HDD from Ricoh and I think they're 20GB. Haven't done one in a while so not sure.

    When you've installed the new Hard Drive it's reccomended you format the HDD in SP Mode (although you don't normally have to, but I would..) You also need to inform the customer that Document server files (and I think Address Book entries) etc will dissappear and have to be reconfigured/rescanned.

      We use non-Ricoh 20gb 2.5" IDE HDDs when we need to replace them, which work fine. We too format them once they're in.
