    [Misc] ricoh mp4000 printing slow.

Hi, could someone help me with this issue. our management have ricoh mp4000. but when the print job sent to the printer. the printer takes sometime for it to print.

This are the things that i have checked.
    - when i checked from the computer the print job is already been delivered to the copier and it takes a while for the copier to print.
    - the network speed in interface is set to auto.
    - printer driver is using universal pcl 6.
    - the printer is bind by IP address.

i am just wondering could it be the harddisk issue?

Well to start off, get rid of that stupid Universal print driver and use either the standard PCL 6 Driver ver 1.7.0.0 or the PCL 5e Driver ver 1.7.0.0.

There are 2 types of Universal drivers. One is the PCL6 Driver for Universal Print. As originally developed, Universal Print was intended for use when you wanted to pool 2 or more printer of either different make and/or model. Printer spooling required that every printer was using the same driver or what looked like the same driver. Universal drivers provided that looked like function.

The other is the PCL6 V4 Driver for Universal Print. To function properly it requires that you are also using a software that is Microsoft V4 compatible. They are hard to find because nobody wants to use Microsoft's standard.
