    Ricoh PCL6, 5E and pcl6 universal

    Hey guys. have any idea when to use this different types of drivers like

    PCL6
    PCL5e
    PCl6 Universal
    PS driver

    • PCL 6 should be used most of the time.
    • For some older programs PCL 5e or 5c will provide better color.
    • Unless you are wanting to pool different make and/or models of printers avoid Universal printers like the plague and unless you have a software that requires Microsoft V4 compatibility, to my knowledge there aren't any, never use the Universal for V4 driver.
    • The PS driver requires that either PostScript or PDF Direct be installed on the printer. For most newer Ricoh that is the case. Use it when you need the publishing features of PostScript.
