    MP 5002, Error Fax 13-17 ?????

    Good companions.
I have been thinking for a few days that this is what is happening, but I do not find the origin of the failure.
As indicated in the title is an MP 5002, which includes a FAX module, the device works normally, without operating problems, except for the message that error in the FAX module.

It does not block the operation, but it is annoying to see the "red light", and creates confusion to the customer when there is some real breakdown.
Despite my research I have not found the origin, and the fax module is not configured, nor does it have anything active related to network connection, or anything similar.

    Any suggestions?

    Yes.
Only had this about 3 or 4 times myself.
Took a while for me to resolve, but I've never forgotten it.
I think I stumbled on it by accident actually.

Anyway, that Loosely translates to "Check network for errors'.
I've only ever been able to get rid of the error with FAX user parameter:
Switch 21 / Bit 6 ("display network errors").
    Set to "1" (off)

I've otherwise never been able to determine what network setting was causing it, but as you said, it has the machine continues to work fine.

    Edit:
I forgot to mention reboot machine afterwards

          Re: MP 5002, Error Fax 13-17 ?????

I just completed a call where a customer said incoming faxes aren't reaching the fax folder on fax forwarding. I showed up and tried to browse the folder and got an authentication error. So I went to their IT dept and asked for the new password and input it in the address book and was able to browse said folder. I sent a test scan to the folder no problem. But the fax error was still lit after fixing network problem. I had to reboot machine to clear fax error, then sent a test fax to the machine and it went to fax folder no problem. My question is did I have to reboot machine or is there another way to clear the error from prior authentication issue, Thanks.

Not 100% sure on this one, but I've had instances where the fax files got "stuck" for 1 reason or another, and the only way I've found to get rid of them is in Fax SP mode /Ram Clear (SP5xxx) / Delete all files.
I'm not sure if this answers your question or not?
