Assuming that you mean the number of rings to answer a fax.....
    - Fax SP mode: SP2-103-007
    - set your desired number ( cannot be 0)

          For real?
          But really? How sad.
Hope you're not bragging about such a thing.
Anyway, since maybe someone could use it:
To access service mode you type the following, Reset (yellow button), 8-0-6-1-8-2, then the Clear Button (C).
          Bye bye....

Unless the previous authorized service tech changed it.

Ricoh changed it the last time and did not put the new sequence in their service manuals because too many unqualified people were changing thing that should never be changed and cratering the machine.

With idiots like you posting the sequence to public forums, they will eventually change it again. Only the next time it will not be with new models, it will be embedded in a firmware update and only published in a company confidential email to authorized dealers and trained self servicing customers.

Their lack of discretion harms all the technicians who have been trying to provide quality service for years, avoiding botches that get into the technician and making the Printers / Copiers Technicians, not value us as they should.

Currently we do not have any Moderators and only one administrator. He was vetting some possible Moderators at the time the Dempanic shutdown happened. Since he has been kept busy just trying to keep his own business in the NYC area afloat. Consequently he is only here about once a month.

you are the idiot. If you think your future is based on codes, you are wrong. your professionalism is not based on codes that others do not know .. even Ricoh has this orientation. The firmware is now updated with the program by any user. If your ability lies only in the precious codes, you will soon be screwed.

Like I said, I must have struck a never because there was nothing offensive in my original response to you. All I was doing was pointing out the truth And if you are going to take offense at being called an idiot for making a post that only an idiot would make, you are not going to get along with many people here. Other than the liberal haters.

I see you are a apparent a hot headed Italian. What's the matter, are you pissed about Giorgia Meloni being your new Prime Minister. Either get over it or get out.

Use the brain the good lord gave you and give some intelligent useful advice and you might lose the bad reputation that all those red cards give you. Just remember, Forum General 5. "Discussion of illegal activities such as software and music piracy and other intellectual property violations are not allowed." Disclosing information that is not available to the general public is a violation since the information is the company's intellectual property.

                          - Yesterday I met a Tunisian mobile phone repairer. He fixes any phone right away and in front of you. The others who do his job have told him that he is wrong, because by doing so the customer learns how to repair phones. But he doesn't care.
The shop is full of people and business is great. The others work little.
What I have said and what I repeat is that it is not a code that gives you peace of mind, but your professionalism. Things are changing and soon the user will do these operations from the computer. So what will change? Nothing.
You will always be the technician. But for serious things, not trivial.
Does the customer use the code and block the device? Where the problem lies, call you.
                          - The code that gives you access to the settings then I doubt can be considered intellectual property.
I would really like to see a judge wronging a consumer and owner, because he wanted to change the number of rings without calling a technician.
                          - As you can see, I waited to answer for not using your tones, and without changing the subject.
I will no longer reply to this post and no longer read any more replies.
The arrogance I have seen is great. You are just photocopier technicians, not God.

Here is an example of what can happen when people who should not know the service access code does. Back when all that was needed to clear a fusing error was to enter SP mode and while in SP mode turn the power off, a customer had learned the service access code and used it to clear an overheat error. When the power was turned back on without letting the fusing unit cool down it continued to heat, over detection needed 30 seconds to detect. I don't know how many times they tried to clear the code before calling in a service request but the hot roller had gotten hot enough to melt the pressure to it.
