Wondering what's wrong with Ricoh China and RFUT

Ricoh China stoped to supply new FW for IMC6000 for Chinese users.
    屏幕截图 2022-10-22 201210.jpg

And RFUT says 4.60.1 is the latest for my IMC6000.

Anyone knows what's the difference between Chinese Versions and Global Versions? Why no FW update for Chinese MFPs.
How to get the latest FW(6.17.1)?

What version of RFUT are you using? If it is not Ver.1.6.0 Released: 06/15/2022 then you need to update the tool. Ricoh had to change it because the older version had become the Ricoh Fuck Up Tool and cratered machines. If you did not have access to the SD card firmware updates your machine became unusable.

      Yes, Ver.1.6.0. Screenshot as below.

      2 pkgs downloaded in directory "Temp": D0BN5596S.pkg(6.18) & D0BN5596L.pkg(4.60.1).
      RFUT indicates "Latest".

Maybe Ricoh China too lazy to test new versions?

Successfully updated to 6.18 in WIM website with D0BN5596S.pkg. Everything seems go well.

I don't know why RFUT indicates 4.60.1 as latest.

Maybe ver.6.18 is development or beta edition?
No release note for 6.18 on Ricoh website.

Release notes are usually only on the individual modules. If they are in the package they are embedded with each module. If you have access to individual modules, either for CD Card or WIM, get them. Package only updates those modules that are an older version. It has no way to identify corrupted installed modules. Also being retired I don't know if Package firmware includes peripheral firmware. They didn't in the past. Also package can be at least a week behind module updates.

Errrr, on Ricoh website, release notes for SP C840DN are on the individual modules ,as below
            Network Support:15.81
            Symptom corrected:
            ......

            Printer:1.20
            Symptom corrected:
            ......
But, for IMC6000, they are no the whole pkg.
            Version 6.17.1

            Symptom corrected:
            - Scanned data might not be downloaded if its link is sent via Scan
to URL without OCR enabled immediately after a job is sent with
            OCR enabled.
            - Control pattern for setting original is revised to prevent J001
            (overload jam).
            - Web applications may not work if logging in to the device via IC
card authentication while another user is already logged in and
the IC card logout function is enabled.

user (User B) inside Web applications under the following
conditions: 1) User B is currently logged in to the MFP via their
IC card and using a Web application, 2) IC card logout is
currently disabled, 3) User A touches their IC card to the MFP
            card reader.
            - Activation of ACT will fail when new ACT version is installed from
the Application Site and the firmware update is necessary at the
            same time.
            ......
In the pkg, there are only modules version numbers and so on. Release Notes not found.

PLUS, as I found in Service Mannual for IMC6000, "Firmware update by the module alone is no longer available."

so I think update standalone module *.fwu may not be supported.

On WIM of IMC6000, only *.rfu or *.pkg is acceptable, while SP C840DN, can use *.fwu for individual module.

Oh, I just notice that Ricoh fixed the wrong PN for Finisher, which makes me crazy a few months ago.

No D0BN5595Q (special pkg to overwrite wrong PN) and two-step update needed, I guess.

So Ricoh has screwed everyone. Do they still have r=the Firmware History Bulletins available or was that something that only Ricoh-USA had?

                  Nothing about region, I think.

SP C840DN has History Bulletins, while IMC6000 just has Tech Bulletins.
